SIMPLE ELEGANCE,GRACE,BEAUTY
This church was built by the founding fathers of Polo a few years before the Civil War at a cost of $10,000. No expense was spaired by these wealthy pioneers when they built their house of worship and their frontier pride is evident in every architectural detail.
This congregation was strictly abolishinist and "no man who owns a man shall be a member of this church". The church supported the temperance movement and was responsible for Polo being "dry" for fifty years.
To enter this church is to be transported to the world of your great-great-great? grandparents. It is truly enchanting. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
